dog training in derby

Why should you trust me to guide you through your journey as a dog parent?

It’s a great question—and one I’m glad you asked.

I’m Sian, an ethical dog training specialist and trauma-informed coach, dedicated to helping overwhelmed dog parents navigate the emotional challenges of training, grief, and connection.

I don’t believe in quick fixes, dominance-based methods, or one-size-fits-all solutions. I believe in you.

💛 If you’re struggling with puppy blues, feeling anxious about your dog’s behaviour, or grieving the loss of a beloved companion—you’re not alone.
💛 If training feels overwhelming, and you just want clarity, confidence, and a way forward without the pressure of “getting it perfect” — I see you.
💛 If you want a compassionate, ethical approach that helps both you and your dog thrive, you’re in the right place.

I’ve spent years supporting dog parents through some of their most challenging, emotional moments—from those struggling with training frustration to those coping with deep grief after pet loss. Through trauma-informed coaching, ethical training, and a deep understanding of the human-canine bond, I help dog parents rebuild confidence, create calm, and strengthen connection—without force, fear, or frustration.

At Lavender Garden Animal Services, I offer more than just training. I provide:

✔️ Compassionate, science-based training for puppies, teenage dogs, and rescues.
✔️ Emotional support for dog parents, helping you navigate the mental load of pet loss, behaviour struggles, and self-doubt.
✔️ A safe space where you can feel understood, empowered, and supported.

Whether you’re here because your puppy is testing your patience, your teenage dog is pushing boundaries, or you’re struggling with grief after losing a pet—I’m here for you.

💛 To help you feel seen.
💛 To help you feel capable.
💛 To help you and your dog find calm together.

This isn’t just my job—it’s my purpose, my passion, and my privilege. You’re not alone in this journey, and I’d be honoured to walk it with you.

You’re Not Alone in This Journey

Bringing a dog into your life is one of the most rewarding things you’ll ever do—but let’s be honest, it’s also one of the hardest.

🐾 The puppy blues are real.
😩 The self-doubt, the frustration, the exhaustion—it can feel like too much.
💔 The grief of losing a pet or struggling with a challenging dog can leave you feeling completely lost.

You might have found yourself wondering: “Have I made a huge mistake?” or “Why does everyone else make this look easy?”

💛 I want you to know: you’re not failing. You’re just missing the right support.

With all the ups, downs, and everything in between, I’m here to make things feel easier, to help you rebuild confidence, and to support you in creating calm, connection, and trust with your dog.

Because training shouldn’t feel like a battle.

Because life with your dog should bring you joy, not stress.

Because you shouldn’t be the one chasing your distracted dog around the park while everyone else seems to have it all together.

You're not alone in this—and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

Compassionate, Science-Backed Dog Training That Works

No more frustration. No more second-guessing. Just clear, kind, and effective training that actually makes a difference.

🐶 Struggling with lead pulling that turns every walk into a battle?
🐾 Wishing your dog could focus on you instead of every distraction?
🍻 Dreaming of a calm pup at the pub instead of one that keeps you on edge?

💛 I’ve got your back. 💛

I’ve dedicated years to studying, training, and refining my approach—so you don’t have to waste time wading through conflicting advice. Everything I teach is science-backed, real-world tested, and designed to help both you and your dog thrive.

With expert guidance, practical strategies, and a focus on calm, connection, and confidence, you’ll go from feeling overwhelmed to fully in control of your dog’s progress—without the stress, the guilt, or the need for outdated training methods.

You don’t have to do this alone—I’ll be with you every step of the way.
