Premium Puppy Training Classes in Derby & Burton-on-Trent

If your puppy is biting, ignoring you, or getting overstimulated, this workshop focuses on the foundations that cause those problems.

Is your puppy…

🥲 biting constantly when they’re overstimulated?
🥲 pulling on the lead already?
🥲 ignoring you when there are distractions?
🥲 getting a little too excited around other dogs or people?

Most puppy parents try to solve these problems in busy classes that overwhelm them and their puppy…

Why Traditional, Big Group Puppy Classes Often Don’t Work

Most puppy parents join a local puppy class hoping for the socialisation, better listening, calmer, less pully walks, and support with early boundaries (like jumping up)

…but big, busy, overstimulating classes often make things worse.

Puppies get overwhelmed. puppy parents get flustered.

And instead of learning the foundations with calm heads, some can be firefighting behaviours that didn’t need to develop in the first place, and everyone becomes distracted.

You deserve something calmer, and more supportive.

Your puppy deserves a space where they can actually learn.

That’s why I created something different…👇

Here’s Why My Puppy Confidence Intensive Group Session Is a Different Kind of Puppy Training Class…

A cute yellow Labrador Retriever puppy sitting on a light-colored carpet, with its tongue out licking its nose.

No big groups. No one-size-fits-all. No week-on-week attendance.

Your puppy learns best in a calm, supportive environment, with space to explore, settle, interact and grow at their own pace.

YOU learn best when

  • you feel guided and reassured, not rushed

  • the coaching is personalised to you and your pup

  • you have an easy way to build progress at home

  • you’re given time to work on everything calmly

That’s why I created a premium, small-group alternative to traditional weekly puppy classes.

Just 4 puppies per session, a 3 hour intensive workshop approach, personalised support, and a nervous-system aware focus that helps both ends of the lead feel calmer and more connected.

This is your puppy’s very best start.

I’m the creator of the Nervous‑System Aware Dog Parenting™ framework and a certified, ethical dog trainer, as well as a trauma‑informed coach for dog parents.

I’ve been running puppy classes since 2020, and despite clients getting amazing results - the reviews and testimonials speak for themselves - I began feeling like I couldn’t give all the support I truly felt clients needed, and even with only 6 pups in a class it still felt like I could do things differently.

Now, I specialise in calm, emotionally supportive training for pups and their humans. Training that help puppies feel safe, learn with less stress, and grow into confident adult dogs.

My approach is practical, compassionate and rooted in real life, so you and your dog can build a more peaceful, connected life together.

The Puppy Confidence Intensive is suitable for puppies aged 8–20 weeks old.

Find out more about the workshops here.

What if my puppy is nervous?

This small group environment is perfect for gentle confidence building, and I adapt everything to suit your puppy’s emotional needs. If your puppy is showing significant signs of struggling with their confidence at home, a welcome home puppy 1:1 session may be the best start, find out more here.

Can family members come?

Yes, up to two adults per puppy is ideal to ensure a calm environment (if more wish to attend, please do let me know in advance as I want to be as inclusive as I can be, without causing overwhelm.)

Should my puppy be fully vaccinated before attending?

Please follow your vet’s vaccination advice. Many puppies generally attend one to two weeks after their 2nd vaccinations.

What’s the price?

It’s £197 for a premium 3-hour intensive + online courses + personalised support + small group coaching.

If you’d love more progress and support, you can buy the Puppy Path Starter Bundle which gives you 1x intensive, 1x dog workshop and 1x dog parent only workshop, saving £50 on the price if you were to book the 3 workshops individually.

Yes. If you’d prefer tailored sessions with your new puppy, or wish to add a 1:1 onto your package, I offer private in-person sessions in Derby & Burton or online. Find out more and book here.

Will my puppy get to socialise?

Yes, safely, calmly and in a structured way that prevents fear, overwhelm or overstimulation. This isn’t the sole focus of the session, and there will be periods during the session where they’re not directly interacting with one another (whilst learning loose lead walking for e.g.)

Are there further workshops after this?

Yes, the 2026 Puppy Workshop Series offers ongoing support with monthly, standalone topics. We’ll deep dive into recall, teenage prep, lead walking, socialisation - all the things you need in a no overwhelm set up.
