Dog Parent Sanctuary - Grief Coach for Families Navigating Pet Loss

A trauma-informed, compassionate space supporting dog parents and their families through grief, loss, and emotional healing, because pet loss is real grief, and you deserve support.

Trauma-Informed

Grief doesn’t follow a neat timeline - it can be raw, complex, and deeply personal. That’s why everything I offer through Dog Parent Sanctuary is grounded in a trauma-informed approach.

This means I prioritise emotional safety, choice, compassion, and a deep respect for the unique way your loss shows up for you. Whether you’re navigating guilt, shock, anger, or numbness, you’ll never be rushed, judged, or told to “move on.” You’ll find space here to breathe, feel, and begin to heal - gently, at your own pace.

Parent & Child Inclusive

Grief touches every member of the family - including children. That’s why I offer support not just for you, but for your child too, with resources and guidance that help both of you make sense of this loss together. It's never too early to teach that grief is normal, and that love continues - even after goodbye.

My Approach

Hey! I’m Sian…

And I know how heavy pet loss grief can feel after my dog, Maisy, died 7-years ago. My anxiety spiralled in the weeks after she died. I sought out mental health support, which has continued to transform my life.

I’m now a trauma-informed grief coach who supports heartbroken dog parents and families through the raw, overwhelming pain of pet loss, without shame, pressure, or the expectation to “move on.”

Through my own experience of losing a beloved dog, alongside years of professional training and deep emotional work, I’ve developed a gentle, compassionate approach that honours your love, your grief, and your need for space to heal.

I also specialise in supporting families navigating pet loss with children, helping you guide your child through their first experience of grief while still making space for your own emotions.

Because I believe grief is something we walk through, together.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re grieving too much, like no one really understands, or like the world expects you to carry on while your heart is breaking, I see you.

This support is for you. And I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.
